I love the far cry series and this is a great installment, that being said I would probably only recommend this for far cry fans. If your new to the series then I don't think this is a game for you. Other then that I love the new gameplay elements and the large amount of guns with a new class system to boot. I had a really fun time playing through this even though it was a short game.
That said, the gameplay /was/ tighter than Far Cry 4. In Far Cry 4 I always felt like there was an issue with the movement and gun controls being a bit on the floaty side, but in Primal it has none of that. Far Cry 3 is definitely better. If they ported the gunplay and quickloot from 5 into 3 it would be one of the best FPS's of the last decade (I think it already is but those are the two improvements I'd take to elevate it).
